Review: Here’s another Halloween themed movie, and it’s actually quite good, but I believe this may be because there has been a limited amount of Halloween themed movies released in the last ten years, so the new technology in film production, immediately enhances your opinion when Trick ‘r Treat is compared to lets say, Hocus Pocus.
The movie follows the separate stories of four collections of people, within a small town on the night of “All Hallows Eve”, these four stories within Trick ‘r Treat, really explore the aspects of Halloween that we associate as traditions, with the inclusion of vampires, werewolf’s, ghosts/spirits and obviously the homicidal murderous father and son, who really do enjoy carving something new on Halloween.
Trick ‘r Treat really does allow you to get into the festive mood for Halloween and does this with a very selectively chosen set, that works well with brightly coloured outfits chosen for the actors and actresses.
I think if you want to see a good up to date Halloween movie, that is a worth contender of becoming a classic unnervingly fast, then this is the one for you. Take into account that this is one of the first movies Michael Dougherty has directed, and will be eagerly anticipating what he does next.
Alright guys, girls and ghouls, Trick ‘r Treat rocked, it’s being rated 5 out of 5 by EddTheZombie, and I advise anyone who is looking for a Halloween themed movie to go out and buy/watch Trick ‘r Treat.
