After successfully managing to active Atlantis' citywider hyperdrive, the crew of Stargate Atlantis have found themselves stuck within space at an unknown location, with the sheild failing due to power levels dropping. As a sideline there is also Dr Weir within a critical condition.

Just after a replenishment mission, where Colonel Sheppard is on his way back to Atlantis via a stargate in the outer orbit of a nearby planet, his ship is disabled by another space ship that just happened to drop out of hyperdrive in the same location. They then bring Colonel Sheppard aboard and interogate him about the ancestoral technology he is using.
